Dr. Nicole Rawls
Welcome! My name is Dr. Nicole Rawls and I am a storyteller who comes from a line of storytellers who weave and tell stories in many different ways, and as an anthropologist, astrologer and artist I work with astrology and ethnography to explore the stories of what it means for us to be human, to help us imagine and create the structures that can support and sustain that life.
Life requires death, and I help individuals and organizations move through life-death cycle of societal and organizational transitions as an Organizational Death Doula, Cultural Strategist, and Poet. For life is about creation, so we must learn to work with words as well as get our hands in the dirt and bring those words into existence.
My work is focused on exploring the question: What does it mean to be human outside the colonial project? I use my anthropological and spiritual training, along with my twenty years of experience to help individuals and organizations deconstruct from oppressive systems and dream and build the worlds we actually want to inhabit.
I am the founder of the Embodied Futures Institute and the creator of Embodied Strategic Dreaming. I am also currently completing my first book, “Reclaiming My Wild: A Modern-Day Marronage Folktale.”

MAY CALENDAR OF EVENTS
It is time to tell new stories so we can create the futures we say we want. So it is a time of the storytellers and story weavers to tell and weave new stories for our humanity.
To tell new stories we need to embody our humanity and believe the reality we are in so we can dream and create the societies that can actually hold and support life.
How do we learn to embody the knowledge we have learned?
What does it mean to strategically dream as a way to world-build the societies we say we want to live in?
Can we allow ourselves to play in the dreamscape(s) and bring those dreams into reality?
If we are our ancestors’ wildest dreams, how do we dream WITH them as a liberatory practice?
These are some of the questions I explore in my Patreon, the online arm of my Embodied Futures Lab, as a way to create a space for people to imagine our world differently and then dare to bring those imaginations into reality.

Astro Forecast for April 19-25, 2026:
Uranus moves into Gemini! Heteronormativity is bad performance art
This week we have two different stories playin out this week in the signs of Aries then Gemini. Baby fire and air truly are HERE. This is about freedom making and taking when you slow the hell down and realize this is all goddamn theatre and we are being asked to rewrite the storyline. Can you tell a story without the help of AI? Or someone telling you what comes next? That is what we are goin to find out as the first half of this week is stalemate energy with Mars and Saturn (AND MERCURY) conjunct in Aries - what is Mars defending and does it make sense? These so called leaders - where are they leading us and what happens if we redefine what leadership is and looks like if we aren’t coddling immature patriarchs? Then we move into another story the second half of the week as Venus and Uranus make their way into Gemini. What does freedom mean when it comes to our understanding of justice, relationships, money, and gender? This is a wilding energy, a bending energy, a Queering one cause Uranus done disrupted the way Venus had to be in her home of Taurus these past 7 years. In Gemini for the next 7 Uranus now gets to play with concepts, and with Venus being the first planet they get to do that with - so what does a free Venus look like? When we put these two stories together (fire and air) what we get is the unraveling of the hold patriarchy has on us via heteronormativty cause it aint nothing but BAD performance art that can’t live up to its promises.
This is the weekly forecast for April 19th-25th: Uranus moves into Gemini - Heteronormativity is bad performance art
Welcome back to Yappin' with the Stars, the show where I talk about what it means, and takes, for us to become human once again in a world that is tryin to convince us all this is it.
And it is not.
So, lets talk with the cosmos and see what else is possible.
I'm your host and guide, Nicole Rawls — a storyteller who comes from a line of storytellers who weave and tell stories in many different ways, and as an anthropologist, astrologer and artist I work with astrology and ethnography to explore the stories of what it means for us to be human. Cause right now the present is up for grabs, so who is leading the stories that will bring us into our futures?
Every Sunday, we check into the chaos we call society and ask:
What's the cosmos showing us this week?
Where are we being called to move, create, burn, build, OR reflect on.

For new beginnings to emerge, space must be made. Which means endings have to be honored. My work helps individuals and organizations move through this death process as a way to create new life.
I am an Organizational Death Doula, Cultural Strategist, Anthropologist, and Storyweaver. My work is for leaders, visionaries, artists, and/or organizations who understand that the present is up for grabs, and you/they want to be the ones leading the stories which will lay the foundations for the systems and structures that create our futures.
Using my praxis-based methodology “Embodied Strategic Dreaming” - which integrates structural analysis, embodied intelligence, and cultural context - I help you see the crossroads you are at as an opportunity to write your own story and enact it.
If you are ready and have a budget for 1-on-1 strategic work, book a consultation call and let's begin.
Note: I do not offer a sliding scale or barter for 1-on-1 services at this time.
